Point taken. I use intermittent fasting intermittently, but am remarkably disciplined and can easily lose weight as I don’t alter my caloric intake outside of the fast (even as our bodies are programmed to make up for the missing calories). My biggest reason to occasionally fast is that I hope I am lowering my insulin-like growth factor. Could I achieve that by simply restricting calories regularly? Yep, you are spot on.
