I don’t think of the Mediterranean diet as a single entity. It is a broader concept of fewer processed foods, more fruits, vegetables, and less red meat than a more typical American diet. Spanish, Italian, Japanese, or Korean. It’s all good. Just dodge the processed foods, get some fruits and vegetables in, watch the alcohol, and consume in moderation. To me, if I were to summarize a good diet, it would be one that you walk to the market to buy.
