Here's my understanding: Average risk for CRC is defined as no prior diagnosis of CRC, adenomatous polyps, or inflammatory bowel disease, and no personal diagnosis or family history of known genetic disorders that predispose a person to a high lifetime risk for CRC (for example, Lynch syndrome). The test is approved for those 45 and older who have an average risk. Those with a history of polyps are not great candidates, it appears. Thank you for your insightful question.

Warm regards,

Michael
