Gabapentin fan. Don't know the literature well enoigh to comment on cannabis. Best of luck with the shoulder surgery. My rule for narcotics: If you are going to use them, do so at the lowest dose that relieves the pain, for the shortest reasonable time. Again, all the best to you (and keep us posted, please).
