Apologize for the delayed response (your message got lost in a mini-clutter of email): Dark cherries are an attractive choice. What’s not to like? Low in calories, but high in vitamins (A, C, and K as I recall), minerals, fiber, etc. Not to mention a bit of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. And yes, anti-oxidants such as beta-carotene too.

I look forward to writing about dark cherries in the future.
